Tata Elxsi harassing its employees in Technopark?
A recent incident happened in Tata Elxsi proved once again that the IT employees are insecure and highly vulnerable to the violation of human right policies and politics in IT companies.
Very recently an engineer in Tata Elxsi is refused for an immediate relocation from Trivandrum to pune. He got the relocation information,when he joined soon after his marriage. Suddenly the company took its revenge by disabling his workstation access and access to the company premises. Thus he is forced to resign the company. A number of Technopark companies including Tata Elxsi is infamous among the techies because of their employee unfriendly HR policies.
At this point, we need to think about the serious violation of human rights as well employee rights happening in companies within Technopark. We are not supporting that particular employee, but the company could have consider any other engineers working in the same section ( because he is newly wedded, and he has some personal issues for an immediate relocation). That’s why the HR wing is there, they should be responsible to understand the professional as well as personal issues of a particular employee working there.
More or less, similar incidents are happening in various companies within Technopark. But a very few of them are known to us, because the victims are forced to find another job for his survival, and the IT employees are highly disintegrated, so they can’t do anything against the company in case of such serious human rights violations.
Similar incidents are happened earlier too, a few complaints were raised against the company named 'Toroid', about its human right violation policies, and it has got the media attention. And a few officers came to investigate about it. But you know they came along with the company top management. Do you think any single employee is ready to complain against the company in the presence of the senior management? So the total exercise was a hoax. Technopark authorities should take necessary controls to make sure that, no such incidents are happening in future.
Here we are appending a few words from one of the comments by the viewer, it depicts the pathetic situations in some Technopark IT companies.

The truth is IT employees are not together. When something like this occurs everybody considers it won't happen to them. But the truth is it can happen to anybody. There is no way to find the truth and bring the truth to light. It is high time we get organised together. I am not telling about any strikes, but the rights has to be protected. Since there are lot of oppurtunities we are not considering this a need. But in near future itself this will become a need

some of the comapanies considering its employees as their slaves, still i remmeber a company called iridium ( now they have some other name ) fired some employees without any valid reasons. the IT secor is became a place where nobody has the control over the employee rights. and they are taking advantage. it is the high time to think about it.
"It is high time we get organized together". such incidents shows a union is a necessity for computer people. if the Tata Elxsi did anything wrong they have to be punished.
Well, TOROID entered the columns for wrong reasons, but you cant expect TATA to stand in that place. No media would be that foolish to campaign against big business houses.
Just look at our Achumama's Munnar flop show, Tata's land grab issues strangely had a different report than the others. But its disgraceful to see them adopting such tactics against employees. This may not be the policy of the company, all right, but such ill-treatement of human beings cannot be accepted. This is one drawback of not having trade unions in IT sector, but I'd be very very careful in raising my voice for establishing one...that would be the beginning of the end for IT in Kerala..:)
IT workers are treated as slaves in some companies, that's a truth and thanks for shedding some lights in this direction. this trend is more in BPO sectors than the software companies, but this reminds us that software firms are also not an exception.
IT workers needs to be unified and fight against companies like Elxsi.
things are not different in banglore also. but there is a big pool of opportunities. so the employees are just curious about what the other company can offer. but it is a serious concern in places like trivandrum. limited options and the GTECH ghost is there which makes the employees life miserable. personal consideration is not at all there in technopark companies. obey us or quit thats the policy. its shame for an established company like Tata ELXSI
This is a true story. I know personally this guy. He worked day and night for the project and releases until recently. And the company has now paid back for it.
The major problem is politics in professional enviroment. This is what happens in TATA ELXSI. I also quit from there due to these reasons. They will pay for it. This is a Blacklisted Company and not good for human beings. This is a violation of Human rights.
hell with the Tata elxsi, so job seekers please don't join in such companies and spoil your life. we are working day and night and the credit goes to these managers. a good company is the one who gives the deserving credits and monitory benifits to its employees. others will not survive.

TataElxsi is not an employee friendly company, as an employee i can assure that. so please think once again before you take a decision to join there.
True is the case. Higher management of the company should view this seriously and take action against corrupt managers and HR persons. Tata Elxsi TVM is not good for employess and freahers who wish to settle down in kerala.
I have seen too many colleagues take the excuse of harassment to hit back at their managers. It is not that easy to harass anyone!! I am not disputing that this person was harassed. But you have only one side of the story here. Dont make this an excuse to bring in Unionism. We all know that Trade Unions will be used to harass managers. I have seen techies who become Team Leads or Pl or PM, change overnight and admitting that they were unjust to their managers, now that they are in their shoes. Dont blow this out of proportion. Let us resolve this without forming unions!! That is the easy way out!! Let us show the unions that we can resolve this without the dirty tactics they use! You will only drive investment out of the state by forming Unions!!
No wonder!!! techies never responds to problems like this.
tata elxsi is infamous for bad HR and managers. they consider their employees as the slaves of them. there is no questioning. if you do so you will be the next target. so nobody will take the risk. thats the risk of a private sector job. so the management is taking that advantage to make the employees as their devices.
here is the need of an association of IT employees or in a worst case a union. if so such management will think twice before taking such actions.
this is not the first time the Tata Elxsi is practicing against the professional ethics and employee laws. they fired a few people 6 months back, but then they provided a reason - the performance. that we can digest. but this case this fellow is just married and he conveyed his difficulty for an immediate relocation.
Look what Microsoft! employees did. They blogged and made a lot of noise and succeeded in removing the top management and all corrupt managers. We have to raise our voice through democratic means like them. And not through goondaism like trade unions!! Tata Elxsi employees should write anonymously to the top management people in the hundreds till they listen. I dont think the people at Pune know what is going on!

Its very sad to hear that Tata Elxsi is also being joined in to such bad HR politics.i worked there for a few years and what i felt it was a nice company then. but recently i got some feedback from my friends that, now they started to play around.
it will make a black mark in the career path of the company and management itself. so please save their souls by eliminating all corrupted hands.
My friends who were working with Tata Elxsi also gave me the same bad report about the company politics.It is really very sad to see that such a big organistion is also losing its dignity due to the HR politics
tata elxsi is one of the good companies in technopark. please don't allow it to fall in to wrong hands of bad HR's and politics. i think a kerala lobby is working as a middle layer between the senior management and employees. find and eliminate those unprofessional elements from the industry

I have been working in Tata Elxsi Trivandrum for last 4 years and I don’t see a better company to work in Trivandrum. Be it top management, Immediate Pl’s it has been an excellent relationship and they have guided me though. In the second year itself I was selected for a long-term onsite assignment (even though my Pl who was in the system before I came in… had never gone onsite). Now don’t call it politics… Tata Elxsi rewards performance… and non-performers only come up with allegations like this…

I have joined this company as a fresher and I have been working for almost 2 years now… I can vouch that there is no better company to work with. Be it technology, work environment, relationship with seniors (they are just part of my family…), the policies are made keeping us in mind... yes they don't break the policy of one individual… which other companies in technopark can boast of this…. Even before completion of my two year I have gone onsite twice to germany…. Can you pls tell me another company that sends its engineers on bond to onsite assignment…….
Friends this link was send to me by my friend and I was really disappointed to see this. I am from a Third generation of a family where my father and Grandfather had worked with TATA’s. And friends TEL was no different. Its easy to tarnish the image of reputed company, but it has taken generations to make it. I still remember when one of our PL had and accident, the complete team including HR was there day in and day out to take care of issue, arrange fund and to console the family. We are proud of living together as a family. Outsiders please excuse.
We all know that Kerala is limping in development front.Lets not make matters worse by IT unionism. Once formed, these things will be going out of hands.Lets not waste our daily bread.
i can understand the loyalty of some fellow engineers in Tata Elxsi. but i'm surprised to see your ignorance about the happenings around you. tata elxsi is not a bad company in technically or in business, but it has some bad and employee unfriendly HR policies. take these criticisms as one chance to get rid of all those bad practices in the organization.
I appreciate the blog creator for shedding light into one of the common but not so openly talked about issues which are happening in Technopark and the Indian IT industry as a whole. I can understand the feelings of the Tata Elxsi friends on seeing this blog, and there is no wonder why some of them have vented out their feelings here.
Tata is a group which gives a lot of importance to human values, but incidents like this will tarnish the entire image of the group. There might a lot of mangers in Tata Elxsi who donot resort to harrassing their subordinates, but a few of them can do a lot of harm. I donot support creating unions for finding a solution for this, because of the ill effects it can have on the entire system. But when news like this spread, the authorities would hopefully take note of this and do necessary corrective measures. So it is very important that such incidents are brought to light.
Sending the employees to on site is not a measure of company's employee/HR policy. we are discussing about the politics with in the company which affects the IT employees working in the industry. this is not only applicable to tata elxsi, but the entire companies where no provision for the employees to raise their voice against the decision of management.
I am working with Tata Elxsi and my experience is that the management treats the employees fairly. I strongly believe that there is some reason beyond the story which is floating around for this action.

6 months back they fired few people and now any one knows where they are?yes I do.they are now with siemens,bosch,honeywell .etc.they were fired for the "poor performance " :).
so this is the right time to start unity among employees.
so may the same tragedy dosent happen for some others
This not an allegation aganist the comapny. Its about the policies handled in wrongway. This depends on people and company has nothing to do with it. This is about employees satisfaction and care. Everybodyknows if 3months is the notice period and if a company sends you out, you have to be paid for 3 months by the company.
As per Indian Labour LAW even if company terminates an employee he should be given compensation until otherwise the employee has done any offence. As performance and not willing to relocate is not a reason to deny compensation. Employee can be asked to leave or resign. Everybody knows this is not followed by IT companys but public limited company does. TATA ELXSI is a public limited company and listed in Mumbai stock exchange. None of the employees who has been asked to leave the company recently has not given compensation. To protect the company from court, HR is insisting on resignation letter from the employees. Everybody knows IT jobs are not stable. And most of the IT employees is working in expensive city and nobody can think of a month without salary. And if he is married and having an house loan, his life is doomed. Everybody should think about that, and that is why everyone is paid and advance salary while terminating. For example Dell has given its employees 2months salary per year for the total number of experience in the company. This is a matter which needs more debate!
Sending the employees to onsite, the company is appreciating your performance, but that doesn't mean to ignore the co-worker who are also working for the same organisation. And HR people or managers are also employees. I am a PM in company in TechnoPark. I was closly monitoring the debate. I belive winning a new customer and successfully lauching the project is a team work. It includes onsite and offsite work. One send for onsite doesn't mean you are performing more than any of the guys in offsite. Treating people properly and giving respect to the man whoever it is eventhough he was asked to resign is in the hands of HR or pesonnal department, Comapany has nothing to do with that. And in IT sector nobody is raising flags next day and doing dharana in front of the company but he is hunting energetically for the new JOB and forgetting past bitter experences.

I am a project manager working at an MNC in Bangalore looking forward coming to Trivandrum to settle down. TEL happens to be my preferred company.
Let me put forward my words of concerns.
1. Companies always prefer people who work, irrespective of Sat, Sunday or Holiday. If you are lazy enough to say you cannot work for HEALTH reasons :-) please get into a factory with 8 hour shift and get paid like pigs.
2. I don’t justfy or glory a termination. But in my career of 8 years I have fired atleast 20-25 people and every time it was a non performer or bundles of filthy attitude against the company.
I should be a dumb and insane to believe that a company will fire an individual for no reason. Even now in my project we are struggling to find resource.
I work in the same team. The guy was a loser. I don’t know how did he got in. Rec team please keep watch on such elements.

See, this is the typical attitude, your argument seems too childish. about the performance. i'm also a TEL ian. and i never think we are doing some rocket science here. and better to forget about the performance of fellow associates working here.
i strongly believe that the company took personal revenge on him. if you are not a performer, and not performing well in trivandrum, how can you perform there in pune? . so the very first argument itself proved false.
as one of the managers mentioned, companies like ppl who works 24x7 for the company, okay. i know this guy very much. he worked hard for months on this same schedule, and see what company gave him at last? this is what every companies attitude. how easily you said that?? the young engineers are sparing their life and health for the company. and once you can't sit late night you will be fired right?

if you forced everybody stay back in company late night, every new joiner will think doing otherwise may invite the management's dissatisfaction. so they will also forced to do so. do you think it is a healthy approach ???
i strongly believe these kind of attitudes conveys wrong message to the entire industry and it needs to be put in to the political front. then only the guys like so called Managers will learn.
i know that person, he is one of the top performers with sound knowledge in the domain and technology.

employees and employers are equally important for the success of any business. but when the wrong management comes to existence the balance will loose and ultimately the employees will be against the company. when management ppl is working for the personal benefit, employees and finally the company will struggle.

Bachelors 'Time-passing' during late hours in the office just bcoz they say they've nothing else to do...
Now what r the consequences...
'Working' (for the record only) late hours soon becomes part of the institute or company culture.
With bosses more than eager to provide support to those 'working' late in the form of taxi vouchers, food vouchers and of course good feedback, (oh, he's a hard worker... goes home only to change..!!).
They aren't helping things too...
To hell with bosses who don't understand the difference between 'sitting' late and 'working' late!!!
Very soon, the boss start expecting all employees to put in extra working hours.
So, My dear Bachelors let me tell you, life changes when u get married and start having a family... office is no longer a priority, family is... and
That's when the problem starts... b'coz u start having commitments at home too.
For your boss, the earlier 'hardworking' guy suddenly seems to become a 'early leaver' even if u leave an hour after regular time... after doing the same amount of work.
People leaving on time after doing their tasks for the day are labelled as work-shirkers...
Girls who thankfully always (its changing nowadays... though) leave on time are labelled as 'not up to it'. All the while, the bachelors pat their own backs and carry on 'working' not realizing that they r spoiling the work culture at their own place and never realize that they would have to regret at one point of time.
So what's the moral of the story??
* Very clear, LEAVE ON TIME!!!
* Never put in extra time ' unless really needed '
* Don't stay back unnecessarily and spoil your company work culture which will in turn cause inconvenience to you and your colleagues.
There are hundred other things to do in the evening..
Learn music...
Learn a foreign language...
Try a sport... TT, cricket.........
Importantly,get a girl friend or boy friend, take him/her around town...
* And for heaven's sake, net cafe rates have dropped to an all-time low (plus, no fire-walls) and try cooking for a change.

IT'S A TYPICAL INDIAN MENTALITY THAT WORKING FOR LONG HOURS MEANS VERY HARD WORKING & 100% COMMITMENT ETC.

I have been working in TATA ELXSI for quite sometime now. Before that i have worked in many other companies as well. I also know the guy who has been fired. Like all companies this one also has good and bad things, there is no denying that. Lack of transparency in activities and HR policies which are confined only in paper are the reason for these situations. I am sure that HR and Admin people may have never bothered to look at policy documents made by someome for someone. The company is evolving from a startup of 30 people at TVM to now state of 450 people. But the policies have not changed.Its high time for management to realize this and take necessary steps. Company is not just the PM, HR or admin it is a group of 450 people.
This is a chance for all the IT companies to think seriously about it. as you said they are not following and rules to hire or fire the employees.
Every employee has the right to ask the management, for why he is getting fired, and whether the company followed all the formalities recommended by the labor laws.
Compelling any employee to work overtime is against the rules. i'm not saying that you have to leave the office without finishing your task. but forcing the employees to work more than 8 hours and discriminations based on that criteria is a serious offense. every employee should aware about this fact.
when you get fired, please check whether all the official formalities are properly done by the company.
The company is also responsible to give a valid reason in such occasions.

how proudly you said you fired 20-25 people within your 8 year span of professional life. i assume it happened within 2-3 years, because i think you can't born as a PM. :)
A good manager is a person who can make the people to work, who can change the attitude of people and prepare them to make things done. if you are keen to find the defects of people, you can see a lot, but a managers success is to transform a non performer in to performer. or strengthen the company and make profit by effectively utilizing the resources.
I am an employ of TATA ELXSI. I personally know this guy. Fortunately, this guy is now working for a good IT company in Chennai with much better salary. Definitely he was very good in his work and he was also sent to onsite some months back. So everyone in this discussion (Specially PLs and PMs) can understand now that he was not a bad performer. Onsite is not a good term to define employee satisfaction. PLs always use this term to lock employees in company even after bond. Tel was a good company, but not now. A manager has resigned from Tel last year which reduced the politics very much. This doesn’t mean that politics is completely washed out. Appraisals are too bad in Tel. Definitely there are more onsite opportunities in Tel. But this will satisfy only a small percentage. Some PLs (Not all) in company doesn’t know what is happening in bottom layers. I could see that most of the employees are working there overnight. Company is used to thretern their employees with the term appraisal (Even in public talk). This kind of activities will help to achieve the target temporarily, but will lead to strong employee dissatisfaction. But the Network people in Tel are very brilliant. They have blocked this site. Else many of my colleagues may attend this discussion very badly.
blocking this site inside the Tata Elxi itself shows their immaturity to deal with the issues. by doing so they are running away from the troubles which made by them.. but it will ignite the quest of people to reach in this site and listen the others.
i think blocking the site with in tata elxsi is good, otherwise they may track the employees who visit this site and threaten them.
Thanks god! this site is available every place in the world. and one of my friends( an editor of this site ) told me that it has got 2000+ average hit per day. so i'm damn sure that it reached out among the IT crowd.

I also working with Tata Elxsi TVM..as per my understanding these are the issues with Elxsi
1) No HR -- Hr guys only interested in recruitments.they are nt even bothered to hear about anyone issues/concerns. Elxsi has about 700 ppl and HR person has only 4-5 years experience...
2)Promotions not transparent -- Elxsi doesnt have any internal promotions process...It gets to whomever closer to managment.
I have worked in this company for 4 year, I feel that someone is really not happy with the way things have gone for him in the company.
I feel sorry for the guy; this is typical of any industry.
This in fact is a serious issue. With so many colleges springing up even IT companies are struggling with the quality of engineers. How to maintain a good performance culture. I have 5 years experience in IT company and every year I struggle with freshers coming in and each time the disappointment builds up. We would have to find out what can be done about this. The case is no different in Tata Elxsi, but it has a good ratio of Senior I understand.
I agree, lot of changes are happening but our seniors are really good, They help us listen to us and work here is really challenging.
why single out elxsi alone? everyone knows there are still companies out there in technopark which collects "capitation fees" from new employees. even from students in the name of assigning summer projects!
why dont u bring out such instances instead of stray incident from a reputed company???
But thats some other issue, because of this blog, it revealed so many bad practices and policies in Technopark companies. what makes a company reputed? their good efforts and track record in the past.so they are responsible for maintaining it in the long run.
but the Capitation Fee is yet another issue, i think the TechnoparkLive should publish the actual stories behind that. we consider this blog as the prime resource to know about the technopark.
I am a fresher and have to join Elxsi yet. first the HR is showing so much irresponsibility towards freshers, they are not even ready to tell when and where our joining will be. its almost 2months now when they said that joining dates will be conveyed soon.
I have another offer in infosys but i choose this cuz i want to make my career in EDP. but this thread is introducing me with darker facts bout company. I donno but m confused now to join elxsi.
all though ther are both kinds f vies here but as a matter of fact i noticed that all the people talking good about Elxci are anonymous.shoudn that be other way round. i cn find only one reason bhind hiding ur identity when ur speaking good and thas wen ur faking. by choosing annymous the same person writes multiple posts making it look like many people are speaking good.

some fraud mallu managers were there also, but according to the employees feedbacks, the infosys management removed from his post.
the reason was : there is a rule in infosys like, a husband and wife should not work under the same project or department, but in this guys case, it happened.( though he is a senior manager), and he gave more preference to his wife in some roles in the project as well as in the appraisal. as soon as the authorities got the complaint, they kicked him out. Infosys is an ideal company for many reasons.
Corruption and politics are there in every companies. but the difference is how the company management rectifying it and listen to the employees.
So never waste your time and career. join Infosys.
I too feel that the comments are from the same guys and I doubt if it reflects reality. I am also and engineering graduate looking to join Tata Elxsi, could someone let me know what is the truth. I checked with couple of my seniors who are working with Tata Elxsi and they told me that company is excellent to start the career in technology. When I said I have fired 20-25 engineers, I was pictured as a butcher. When you would mature from a developer to a project manager you would understand that every company have unwritten policy on how to maintain certain minimum level of performance. I don’t know if Tata Elxsi has the same, I think they should be having this too, as this is essential to maintain employee quality. Ever company would like to get rid of the poor performers and get them replacement with good performers. This may look inhuman if you were to look at individual but from organizations point of view it is essential for survival.
But if that is the case why can’t company disclose the reason why such action is taken. At least it is good to have everyone in the company into confidence. It would avoid such confusion.
Hi, the reason is very simple.
Many companies do this in the name of transparency. But I personally feel that is not correct. Once the reason for the termination is made public, he would be denied another opportunity and may also lose face with his friends and teammates. Most of the good companies do a referral check and if they find that person was terminated, could ask him to leave. Thus denying him a livelihood. Most of the good companies keep the reason for termination as close secret.
Hi I have been working in Tata Elxsi for last 2 years and I have worked with some really great people. I have seen one of the most technically stimulating environment. I really love this company. I don’t think as an organization it can please everyone. But this is no way to treat a company where you are working.
Me too. 3 years in embedded systems development. I am doing my masters with BITS under companies CE Policy. I am leading a team of 5 engineers and doing great. Yes I don’t get paid like Bangalore MNC, but don’t see things in isolation. You get some, you lose some. But I enjoy working here. I have learned some of the biggest challenges of developing a complete product. And I want to learn more.
Agree with you. companies should keep its quality with good people. so it should fire the non performers. totally agreed.
but this post is about terminating an employee because of the personal revenge.This is an inhumane act. this is not regarding the performance or any such criteria. it is the fault of Human Resource Department,not the company or the technology they are using.

I think TEL is still one of the few very technopark companies to work with..I know many of you guys out there are cannot accept that..
Technical wise, you can find good piece of work there. They wont compel you to sit you late.., only because it is against company policy. But any way you will be forced to do so at times..(almost everday) But even then elxsi is pretty good in these aspects, if you take example of many other names in technopark...
I think in HR side, the policies seems to be strict and adamant at times and is lacking vision from top management. May be because, they are overconfident by their TATA name. Then as usual, many of the HR managers/PMs may be unprofessional and will be thinking that squeezing and harrassing the empolyees are the best way to get maximum output out of them...
I think we should be bold enough to say that,
1) we cant work for more than 9 hours a day.
2) holidays are not their gift, but our right.
3) If they cant use our potential, it is their fault.
4) If they over commit on our abilities because of bussiness pressures, we cant accept that.
And we should be dare enough to say that "What ever be the reason.. it is a bad manager, who fired 20-30 people and still says that it is some how needed for the company". Selection is the process to eliminate.. it is not firing.. if you think some person you selected needs to be fired.. and if their counts keeps on increasing.. you may be the right person to be fired... ;-)

should i say more that this is true? having been with elxsi for a long time now - this is just one case where someone has been bold enough to blog about it. I know at least 4 such cases where my teammates have been PAR excellent performers and have been doomed and harassed by nonperforming managers. It is the managers who have to be at first fired.
To the (incompetent) manger who fired at least 20-25 people - I bet you need to be fired out first out of the company for not being able to work with a team. 20-25 is a large number of people with whom you failed to work with amicably.
And to all there - there is nothing called HR in elxsi. You could check the recent history of HR heads in Elxsi where the heads are mere dummies who have no idea of Human Resource policy management !! They are simply administrative and IT heads who are transformed into dummy HR... nothing personal - but this is the current state of a TATA Company - UNBELIEVABLE ! Are the TATAs hearing this?

first of all understand the fact that, other than the software engineers most of other supporting functional staffs ( including HR ) are not qualified or professional.
Place well qualified and experienced HR people in the place of promoted administrative or unexperienced Managers.
This itself will improve the current situation of that company.
Tata elxsi is a very good company in terms of technology and domain. there is no particular dress code. so it is a dream company of any techie in trivandrum.
but at the same time their unprofessional approach in the management era makes elxsi as a difficult place to work.

yes agreed, you can fire a non performing employee, but how can you justify firing emoloyees because he refused for an immeidate relocation and bad policies of some promoted/uplifted HR's ( the cycle is sweepers to office boy, office boy to clerk, clerk to administrative worker, administrative worker to HR )

Guys I want to bring to ur notice a very brutal thing than this lay off!!A female employee who was with Elxsi for last 8 yrs is laid off when she wanted her maternity leave to be extended.She took 3 mnths leave and wanted to extend that as her delivery was a bit complicated.The HR (who herself is a female) failed to understand her situation and told her that she will not given even a single day extended,and if she wants that she should resign!!And she was told that she can join the company after attending interview.This way the new mother was forced to resign.Inspite of her 8 yrs exp. with the company where she had proved herself in every stages is now no more with Elxsi..
Can't the company even understand this??
And recently,one guy who was laid off was told by the HR that he should return the badge and he shouldnt use company transport too.He was told at 4:25 PM.How is brutal is this?

I read something about eInfochips and Rahul V Shah being talked in the comments. I dont understand how can people target someone direclty that also based on some rumours they hear from their so called friends. I have worked in eInfochips under him and no doubt he is one of the best manager. No doubt people use names of other people to hide their own mistakes and discrepancies.
And for the tata elxsi issue, I beleive hearing both sides of the story helps otherwise u r taking decisions blinded on one side.

I know this guy personal ,he is now in hospital,which was the personal problem which he informed the manager/hr for not relocating to pune.health problem may come to anyone at anytime .

yes he has undergone a surgery(details his friends knows)and have to take bedrest for 2 weeks.this matter was informed to hr and managers via mail, for proof he put one bcc to personal id too.but on knowing his health problem,hr/pm took action with in 2 days after recieving the mail.its inhuman.

another reason was he was not given promotion by telling some bussiness loss of the comany.he asked his hr(mr *M*) last year and he was told that he was promoted, but he was not given the appraisal letter due to some reasons.this year the apprisal was low as the pm mr ** due to hide his inefficency did like this.all others in this pjt was given good apprisal except this guy.for tel guys u can check the timesheet to know how the whole team worked under one nice pm for the last pjt.I knew all since i'm an ex-tel guy.this guy informed the matter to technology head that hr last year told him that he was promoted.as the hr,pm etc belongs to tvm lobby, they planned to sack this guy by telling 2 reasons.1)not willing to relocate to pune.

TEL (if by luck you get a good project), is perhaps a good company to start your career. everyone is professional so the company. hi elaxians ,finaly the salary got credited on 4th.I checked with bank,They are not disclosing the details.But told that it was not the problem with axis bank .So i think it was due to lack of enough fund this happened.So best time for looking for a change.:) i got one and had given resignation.so my dear friends dont be a part of titanic.
There is a lot of exploitation of employees by employers in Technopark companies. Most of the companies don’t give adequate salary. A software engineer in Technopark gets almost half the salary of a similar guy in Bangalore. If the management gets comparable rates from the clients, then they should give similar salaries here too. They charge clients anywhere between $50/hr to over $125/h, but give between 3 and 8 $ per hr on an average. This is true exploitation. Technopark companies are giving meagre salaries to employees and making huge profit out of them.
Also there is the anti-employee association called GTECH which among its various anti-employee activities, does not allow a person leaving a company to be taken by another member company within 6 months. Added to that, most of the small companies expel ladies when they get pregnant. And then there is a company which openly says that it will give incentives to any employee who spies over other employees and finds something. These small companies also are reluctant to tell the employee how much leave he can take in a year and even more reluctant to sanction leaves due for him. Also, employees sometimes have to face the song of the clients. Most of the companies treat clients as Gods and are pampered. The clients pay lot of money to these companies and expect it to be completed within a very short time. The employee, who is not given adequate training, find it very difficult to complete it within the deadline. He also is not motivated since he gets low salary.
Also, software companies suck out the life of its employees by asking them to work long hours. Long and stressful working hours bring health risks. Software Engineers get hypertension, heart ailments, diabetes, cancer and other diseases and will die at a very young age.
These companies do all sorts of activities and seminars (as though)to promote the employee’s health. But actually, they themselves should stop asking employees for overtime work over 8 hours a day. The body will suffer if one is to work for more than 8 hours per day. Or else, they should give double pay, as they do in the West, so that the employee gets enough money to treat for his health problem out of overtime work. Infertility and death due to heart attack are very common among software engineers. Recently two software engineers (one of them an IIT MTech guy) committed suicide because they could not cope up with the severe work stress!
In a leading company in Technopark, the average death rate is 2 SEs per year. And in that company, only males below 30 yrs die; there is no such problem for ladies. The dress codes in such companies include ties and shoes which are not good for our hot and humid climate and a stress industry like IT.
I'm a person who is not directly linked with technopark or tata elxsi.. but i witnessed my near and dear one being harassed by tata elxsi..sorry.. not by tataelsxi.. I should say some higher level staff who has been destined to make the name of a good company ,one among the most fearful and most unsecured companies in the IT world.. There had been clear evidences previously and at present that these highly paid "professionals " are responsible for making one of the excellent IT company a black mark in the history.. and the most dreadful fact is that they are cheating their company as well as energetic youths who can very well perform more than these fellows..These highly paid professionals are not giving chance neither for the staff nor the company to grow and become the best..
I have a request to the management .. Please do realise these exploiters and kick them out of the company for the well being of the company.. Even though it is said that Tataelxsi realises hardwork and sincerity , these highly paid professionals are not giving a chance to the junior level engineers to show their skills ..actually they make the employees feel that this is the most insecure company and thus blocks the development of tataelxsi My near and dear ******* also was harassed by these people (HR and PM) for no reason..or i should say for their selfish interests..They even said to other employees that they does this to convey the lesson to other employees that they also will loose their jobs if they don't obey them.. i don't know what these people think of themselves..Many of the present employees who are continuing in the company have begun search for more secured jobs.In the past 3 months atleast 15 left the company and some have already given their resignation letter..This itself is the proof of what i mentioned earlier..This company is a sinking ship now.. and the culprits who are responsible the down growth of this company is still controlling the steering.."""
