Kingfisher adopts IBS’ cargo solution

Technopark-based IT solution provider IBS’ cargo solutions have made their successful entry into the air cargo industry in the country with Kingfisher Airlines becoming the first user of their iCargoNet worldwide.

The airline has started using IBS’ iCargoNet, a Software as a Service (SaaS) version of IBS’ airline Cargo Management System (CMS), iCargoGold.

It manages the cargo business of the airline from planning, sales, operations, ground handling to cargo revenue accounting and revenue optimisation functions in an integrated and cost-effective manner.

The implementation comes at a time when Kingfisher Airlines is seeking to grow its cargo business in the domestic market while optimizing its cost of operations.

Technopark company IBS opens Rotterdam base to enter Ocean transport LoB

Technopark based company, IBS Software, global solution-provider in TTL (Travel, Transportation and Logistics) vertical, has opened a base in Rotterdam in the Netherlands. Through the new facility, IBS seeks to set up an Ocean Transportation Line of Business (LoB) to its six other LoBs.

This is IBS' second office in Europe after London and its 14th worldwide.IBS already has a fully integrated seaport operation management solution iPort™ in the Ocean Transportation LoB. iPort™ is implemented at three ports under the Sharjah Ports Authority as well as at the Port of Male (Maldives Port Authority). The product supports the entire gamut of port operations ranging from marine operations, cargo & container operations, yard operations, cargo delivery to billing of all services rendered by a seaport. The Technopark-based IBS is SEI CMMI Level 5 and PCMM Level 5 assessed, ISO 9001:2000, TickIT and ISO 27001:2005 certified. It has six software development centres across the world.

Technopark company IBS opened a new centre in Canada

IBS Software, a Technopark-based company specialising in information technology solutions for the travel, transportation and logistics industry, has opened a new global centre of operations at Toronto in Canada.

The new unit will be the company’s fourth centre in the Americas after Atlanta, Washington DC and Phoenix, and the 13th worldwide.

IBS offers a range of products and services that manage mission-critical operations of airlines, airports, oil and gas companies etc.

IBS Software is constructing a 450,000 sq ft. (42,000 sq m.) office on 5 acres (0.02 sq km.) of land.

This is the first phase of IBS campus inaugurated on October 23, 2007
