	Enjoyable user experience is one of the most important ingredients for success of any product today. For software products, the “user interface” is the prime point of interaction for its end-users. Contrary to common beliefs, "look and feel" of a user interface contributes very little to the overall experience of a product. Progressive implementation of many structured user experience activities and constant user validation are essential to ensure an "enjoyable user experience" of any product. This seminar aims to emphasize the importance of user experience design in any software development process, and introduces some fundamental concepts in software usability and user experience design. This seminar will present an overview of the What, Why, How, When and Who of User experience processes.
	Sathees Nair : Satheesh Nair Founder | Director, Box of Ease, Bangalore, has about seventeen years of industry experience in user focused design, of which the last seven years are in Information Architecture, User interface and User experience design. He holds sound knowledge of the user experience strategies and usability research, and has extensive applied experience in information architecture, interaction design and usability research. So far, Satheesh has completed more than 200 user interface projects in the role of user experience designer, and conducted many usability tests and research studies. Satheesh has five years of professional training and research experience in industrial design at the Design Centre, Sydney Institute of Technology, Australia as the head of the product design department. Satheesh also holds four years of professional industrial design experience at Titan Industries Limited, Bangalore, as senior executive, industrial design. Satheesh holds Post Graduation in Industrial Design (National Institute of Design, Ahmadabad), Post Graduation in Training and Education (University of Technology Sydney, Australia) and B. Tech in Industrial Engineering.
