Corporate Olympiad 2008 - For technopark companies

We are pleased to announce the Final schedule of the Trivandrum Corporate Olympiad 2008 along with the events. All companies who wish to participate need to first register with the Trivandrum Corporate Olympiad before March 15th, 2008. Those corporate concerns who wish to participate may request for the Registration form which will be mailed to you and will be collected back along with the payment from your office directly.

General Rules of participation in the TCO 2008 is given below:

a) Only Employees/ Directors ( Fulltime / Contract ) of Corporates registered with TCO 2008 can submit entries in the competitions.

b) The Corporate Registration Fee for TCO 2008 is fixed at Rs 4000/- per company and all Private/Public limited companies/Corporate concerns in Trivandrum are eligible to register between February 20th & March 15th, 2008

c) The Last date of entries and Fees for each event is separately notified

below.

d) All participation entries are to be routed through the company office only.

e) The Categorization of disciplines also vary from event to event

( Men/Women/Below 30 /Above 30 )

f) For women employees, there is no age grouping.

g) Registration & Entry Fees are non refundable, except if the respective event is cancelled due to any reason by the organizers.

h) Only Directors/Employees from the Trivandrum Office are eligible to participate in the various events.

i) A company once registered with TCO 2008 can field more than one team in any event provided the Entries along with the Entry fees are submitted within the prescribed last dates.

j) The dates and venues are subject to change but will generally be adhered to.

k) The Matches will be arranged only on Saturdays, Sundays & other Public holidays.

l) If minimum number of entries specified for each event is not received, the organizers reserve the right to postpone/cancel the event. Similarly, the organizers may restrict the number of teams to suit scheduling of events, which will be decided on a "First Come First Serve basis".

m) There will be a Captain's Meeting for each event prior to the date of commencement of the event.

n) The Technical format including modified rules/regulations/formats will be made known to the registered corporate concerns of TCO 2008 and also explained at the Captains Meeting & Practice sessions, if any.

o) The Dress Code specified for each event will have to be strictly adhered to.

p) The teams should report at the respective venues 30 minutes before the match schedules.

q) Basic Equipments like nets, balls, etc will be provided by the Organisers but personal equipments like rackets, etc has to be arranged by the participants themselves.

r) Light Refreshments will be provided to the playing teams by the organizers at all venues

s) The Technical conduct of the event will be supervised by the Organisers with the assistance of experts from competent authorities.

t) Protests if any, will be accepted for scrutiny on payment of Rs 1000/- within 30 minutes of conclusion of the match & the decision of the Organizers will be final.

u) The organizers reserves the right to frame/change/modify any of the rules at any stage of the TCO 2008, if found necessary

v) The TCO 2008 Organisers would arrange for 2 days of practice/refresher opportunities in the following events within 25 days prior to the event itself in Street basketball, Futsal, Tennis Ball Cricket, Beach Volleyball, Tennis, Golf & Snooker on nominal payment

w) The TCO 2008 Organisers will arrange for Sports Uniforms on actual cost basis for any participating team.

x) Point System to decide the TCO 2008 Overall Champions will be decided on the consolidated points from participation of various events as below:

Individual Event : Winner - 10, Runner Up – 5 Participation – 1

Doubles Event : Winner – 20, Runner Up – 10 Participation –2

All Team Events : Winner – 30, Runner Up – 15 Participation – 5

y) The Winners in the respective events will be awarded Special Trophies/ Prizes & the Overall Champions will be felicitated at the TCO 2008 Closing Ceremony to be held in August 2008
